REDUCING HATE
CRIME
IN EUROPE
|
Mid-Dlam ghad-Dawl was one of the partners in a
European Union AGIS project on reducing hate crime in Europe.
AIM & TASKS
The main aim of the project was to assess the local
environment of the partners' countries in relation to hate crime,
and review the services offered
both to hate offenders and hate victims.
Each partner provided detailed known information
of hate incidence in each participant country for comparative
analysis.
OUTCOMES
The project was intended to have two main outcomes.
First, a survey was made in each participant country so as to
gauge the exact prevalence of racist and religious hate crime.
Secondly, a platform was built up on the
world wide web to pool information and ideas for reducing hate crime
in the participant countries and in Europe.
