Family 3 is a project run by Mid-Dlam ghad-Dawl (MDD) in aid of prisoners' families, partners and friends.

Our vision: That each prisoner's family will know that a support and help service is available to it free of charge Our mission: That relatives and friends of prisoners will know that they are not alone, and that there is someone who understands and wants to help them Our aims: 1. To hold an up-to-date list of all prisoners' relatives and friends   2. To provide relevant, pertinent and accurate information to prisoners' relatives and friends   3. To have competent carers who can listen, help and, above all, love prisoners' relatives and friends   4. To give prisoners' relatives and friends a sense of family by constantly keeping in touch with them Our strategies: 1. Official/statutory action   2. Personal and individual action   3. Training and research Our tactics: 1. Working by way of a protocol between MDD and the prisons   2. Using ways and means of contact through leaflets, home visits, letters, phone-calls, meetings, information points (possibly including a gazebo strategically situated near the prisons), and the like   3. Organising training courses for carers
